Mouse Anti-Herpes Simplex Virus II, Glycoprotein B (HSV II)
Herpes Simplex virus (HSV) is a double stranded DNA virus of which there are 2 types, HSV1 and HSV2. HSV1 usually establishes latency in the trigeminal ganglion, a collection of nerve cells near the ear. From there, it tends to recur on the lower lip or face causing cold sores. HSV2 usually resides in the sacral ganglion at the base of the spine. From there, it recurs in the genital area.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA, and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
