Goat Anti-HMG20A (High Mobility Group Protein 20A, HMG Box-containing Protein 20A, HMG Domain-containing Protein 1, HMG Domain-containing Protein HMGX1, HMGX1, HMGXB1)

Plays a role in neuronal differentiation as chromatin-associated protein. Acts as inhibitor of HMG20B. Overcomes the repressive effects of the neuronal silencer REST and induces the activation of neuronal-specific genes. Involved in the recruitment of the histone methyltransferase MLL and consequent increased methylation of histone H3 lysine 4.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:32,000 Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1-2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-ATVREVVNRLDR, from HMG20A, at C-terminal (NP_060670.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human HMG20A. Species Crossreactivity: Rat. Species sequence homology: Bovine, canine, mouse and porcine.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
