Mouse Anti-KIND2 (Fermitin Family Homolog 2, Kindlin-2, Mitogen-inducible Gene 2 Protein, MIG-2, Pleckstrin Homology Domain-containing Family C Member 1, PH Domain-containing Family C Member 1, FERMT2, MIG2, PLEKHC1)
MIG2 also known as FERMT2 or Kindlin-2, is an ~80kD, 680aa, ubiquitously expressed member of the Fermitin/Kindlin family of cytoplasmic adaptor proteins. MIG2 is essential for B1 and B3 integrin activity due to its interactions with regulatory molecules such as talin and ILK. MIG2 contains two FERM domains aa85-326 and aa524-573 and one pleckstrin homology domain aa373-478. Within the region used as an immunogen, human MIG2 shares 98% aa identity with mouse and rat MIG2. Two isoforms 687aa and 633aa have a 7aa insert after 534aa. The shorter isoform also has a 2aa substitution for the C-terminal 57aa of the 680aa form.
Applications
Suitable for use Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml using HT1080 human fibrosarcoma cell line, A549 human lung carcinoma cell line and HeLa human cervical epitthelial carcinaom cell line lysates. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Gln321-Leu444 from human KIND2 expressed in E. coli.
