Applications
Suitable for use in RIA, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Immunoprecipitation: 1:500- 1:5000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 10mg/ml BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Peptide analog of the carboxyl terminal of the human Leptin covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitution with 100ul of 10mg/ml BSA in PBS.
Specificity
Recognizes Leptin (human) and Leptin (human) [131-145]. The reactivity of Leptin (rat) and Leptin (mouse) is ~75%. Does not react to Epidermal Growth Factor (human), Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (human), Insulin-like Growth Factor 2 (rat), Parathyroid hormone (human) and Transforming growth factor-alpha (human). Specific for the COOH terminal of the human Leptin.
