Mouse Anti-MCM5 (Mini Chromosome Maintenance Protein 5, CDC46, CDC46 Homolog, Cell Division Cycle 46, DNA Replication Licensing Factor MCM5, MGC5315, Minichromosome Maintenance Deficient (S. cerevisiae) 5, Minichromosome Maintenance Deficient Protein 5, P1-CDC46) (MaxLight 550)

MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.

MCM-5 (mini chromosome maintenance protein 5), a protein with an important role in the control of DNA replication. It has been reported that immunocytochemical assessment of Mcm5 expression may be of value in improving the accuracy of cervical smear testing for the detection of malignancy.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Recommended Positive Control Tissue
Tonsil/Cervical Carcinoma
Hybridoma
Spleen cells from immunized CBI/CFI mice were fused with cells of the mouse SP2 myeloma cell line.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Bacterially expressed human Mcm5.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with MaxLight™550.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human MCM-5.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
