Mouse Anti-Methionine Aminopeptidase 1 (MetAP-1)
Methionine Aminopeptidase 1 (MetAP-1) encodes a cytoplasmic protease that removes the NH 2-terminal Met from nascent proteins.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Direct ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1ug/ml with recombinant human methionine aminopeptidase 1 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to His52-Phe386 of human Methionine Aminopeptidase 1 derived from Sf21 cells. Species sequence homology: chimpanzee 99%; rat/mouse 98%; chicken 95%; drosophila 64%
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 200ul sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from hybridoma culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes human Methionine Aminopeptidase 1 (MetAP-1) in direct ELISAs and Western Blots. Does not crossreact with recombinant human METAP2.
