Mouse Anti-b2-Microglobulin (b2M)
b2-microglobulin non-covalently associates with the 44kD a-chain to form the HLA Class I antigen complex. Human b2-microglobulin associated with HLA Class I antigens is expressed on many types of cells including lymphocytes, thymocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, platelets, endothelial cells, and epithelial cells. It is absent on erythrocytes.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunofluorescence/Flow Cytometry: 10ul/5x10e5 cells/test. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections or cell smears): 1:25-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Hybridoma
NS1/Ag4.1 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Purified human Beta 2-microglobulin.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 1mg/ml BSA. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile ddH2O.
Specificity
Recognizes human Beta 2-microglobulin (MW 12kD). Does not react with Beta 2-microglobulin from other species. Recognizes the HLA-Beta 2-microglobulin complex, free or associated with the membrane. The exact epitope for the antibody has not been mapped.
