Goat Anti-MSMB (Beta-microseminoprotein, PSP-94, Immunoglobulin-binding Factor, IGBF, PN44, Prostate Secreted Seminal Plasma Protein, Prostate Secretory Protein of 94 Amino Acids, PSP94, Seminal Plasma beta-inhibin, PRSP) (Biotin)

PSP94, also known as b-microseminoprotein (b-MSP), is a secreted, non-glycosylated 16kD major protein in semen. It is highly expressed in prostate and numerous other tissues. In human blood plasma and seminal plasma, PSP94 binds to CRISP3 and PSPBP (also known as PI16), which are SCP domain containing proteins. A splice variant of PSP94, called PSP57, contains a 41 residue substitution for residues 37-77 in PSP94. Mature human PSP94 shares 44%, 53% and 79% aa sequence homology with mouse, porcine and baboon PSP94, respectively.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile TBS, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Purified, E. coli-derived, recombinant human PSP94 (rhPSP94; aa21-114; Accession # P08118).
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 50ug/1ug BSA. Labeled with Biotin. Reconstitute with sterile TBS, pH 7.3, 20mM Trizma, 150mM sodium chloride, 0.1% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PSP94. Species sequence homology: mouse (44%), porcine (53%), baboon (79%).

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
