Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry: 50ug/ml stains PLP fixed cultured cells known to express the Muscarinic Receptor M4. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Peptide analogue of the carboxyl terminal of the M4 receptor covalently attached onto a carrier protein.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2, 10mg/ml BSA, 40% glycerol.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation, dialysis and chromatography.
Specificity
Shown to be specific for the COOH terminal of the M4 receptor. Crossreactivity: M4 Muscarinic Receptor (aa469-478): 100%, M4 Muscarinic Receptor: ~70%. No reacivity is observed with M1-M3, M5 (full receptors), M1 (aa451-460), M2 (aa457-466), M3 Muscarinic Receptor (aa580-589), M5 (aa519-531).
