Goat Anti-Myotubular Myopathy 1 (MTM1, CNM, MTMX, Myotubularin, XLMTM)
myotubularin 1, myotubularin, XLMTM, MTMX, CNM, myotubular myopathy 1, MTM1|

This gene encodes a dual-specificity phosphatase that acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine. It is required for muscle cell differentiation and mutations in this gene have been identified as being responsible for X-linked myotubular myopathy.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:16,000 Western Blot: ~70kD band observed in lysates of Human Muscle and of cell line HepG2 (calculated MW of 69.9kD according to NP_000243.1). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing MTM1 a band of approx. 65kD is observed. This band is not observed in the non-transfected Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-SSPSQMMPHVQTHF, from the C Terminus of human MTM1 (NP_000243.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, pH 7.2, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human MTM1. Species sequence homology: bovine

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
