Rabbit Anti-NIK (NF-kappa-beta-inducing Kinase, HsNIK, FTDCR1B, HS, Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase Kinase 14, MAP3K14, Serine/threonine Protein Kinase NIK)
EC=2.7.11.25, NFkB-inducing Kinase

NIK (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 14), a member of the Ser/Thr protein kinase family, binds to TRAF2 and stimulates NF-kappaB activity. It shares sequence similarity with several other MAPKK kinases. It participates in an NF-kappaB-inducing signalling cascade common to receptors of the tumor-necrosis/nerve-growth factor (TNF/NGF) family and to the interleukin-1 type-I receptor.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide mapping to a fragment of residues within amino acids 119-148 in the central region of human NIK, Swiss/UniProt Accession: Q99558.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation.
Specificity
Recognizes human NIK.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
