Goat Anti-Osteopontin (2AR, Bone Sialoprotein 1, Calcium Oxalate Crystal Growth Inhibitor Protein, Early T-lymphocyte Activation 1 Protein, Minopontin, Secreted Phosphoprotein 1, SPP-1, Spp1, Eta-1, Op, Spp-1) (PE)
Osteopontin (OPN), is a secreted acidic phosphorylated glycoprotein originally isolated from bone matrix. It has been shown to bind to different cell types through interactions with various integrins and CD44 variants. It has important functions in bone metabolism and inflammatory processes.
Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 10e6 cells. Validated on RAW264.7 cells. For intracellular staining, cells must first be fixed and permeabilized. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Leu17-Asn294 (Glu99Gly) from mouse Osteopontin, expressed in NS0 cells.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in saline, 0.5% BSA, 0.09% sodium azide. Labeled with R-Phycoerythrin (PE).
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse Osteopontin. In sandwich ELISA, less than 3% crossreactivity with rhOPN is observed.
