Mouse Anti-Parainfluenza Virus Type 2
Parainfluenza virus 2 is one of four serotypes of parainfluenza viruses in the paramoxyvirus family. Parainfluenza viruses are the second most common cause of lower respiratory tract infections in young children. Parainfluenza virus 2 causes upper and lower respiratory tract illnesses and croup.
Applications
Suitable for use in Immunoflorescense. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography from ascites.
Specificity
Recognizes Parainfluenza 2 virus. Does not react with Influenza A or B virus, Parainfluenza virus 1 & 3.
