Mouse Anti-Parvovirus B19, Human (MaxLight 550)
MaxLight™550 is a new Yellow-Green photostable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™546, 555, DyLight™549 , Cy3™, TRITC and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (550nm); Emission (575nm); Extinction Coefficient 150,000.
Parvovirus B19 infection is common among children and adults and is often asymptomatic. Parvovirus B19 infection can result in serious and occasionally fatal hematologic diseases in susceptible patients, and is the cause of "fifth disease", a highly contagious infection of childhood. In sickle cell disease and other hereditary and acquired hemolytic anemias, acute B19 infection results in transient aplastic crisis, in which hemoglobin levels precipitously fall, anemia becomes life threatening, and congestive heart failure may ensue. Parvovirus B19 can also infect the fetus causing severe anemia, congestive heart failure, and heath in utero or at birth.
Applications
Suitable for use in FLISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): High temperature citrate buffer antigen retrieval is highly recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
Parvovirus positive patient sample
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: MaxLight™550 conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Native parvovirus B19 purified from human plasma.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. No preservative added. Labeled with MaxLight™550.
Purity
Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography from ascites.
Specificity
Recognizes human Parvovirus B19. Recognizes an epitope common to VP1 and VP2 structural proteins of human Parvovirus B19. The epitope has been mapped to aa328-344 of VP2 capsid protein. Staining is localized predominantly in the nucleus though the cytoplasmic staining may be observed.
