Mouse Anti-Prokineticin 2 (Prokineticin-2, PK2, PROK2, PK2, Protein Bv8 homolog, PROK2, BV8) (Not for Export EU)
Prokineticin-2 is expressed in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) circadian clock and may function as the output component of the circadian clock. The secreted form of the encoded protein may also serve as a chemoattractant for neuronal precursor cells in the olfactory bulb. Mutations in this gene are associated with Kallmann syndrome 4. These patients have variable degrees of olfactory and reproductive dysfunction.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Partial recombinant human Prokineticin-2, isoform 2(20-109) with a GST tag.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in 50% glycerol.
Specificity
Recognizes human Prokineticin-2.
