Goat Anti-PTGER4 (Prostaglandin E2 Receptor EP4 Subtype, PGE Receptor EP4 Subtype, PGE2 Receptor EP4 Subtype, Prostanoid EP4 Receptor, PTGER2)

Prostaglandin E receptor EP4 is a Prostanoid Receptor with a relaxing effect on smooth muscle. It may play an important role in regulating renal hemodynamics, intestinal epithelial transport, adrenal aldosterone secretion, and uterine function. EP4 has been reported to be expressed in blood, colon, immune tissue, intestine, kidney, lung, ovary, skin, and uterus. ESTs have been isolated from a wide range of human tissue libraries.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:16,000 Western Blot: 0.1-0.3ug/ml, observed in human testes lysates on ~55kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-LEREVSKNPDLQA, from human PTGER4, at the internal region of the protein (NP_000949.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PTGER4. Species sequence homology: Canine.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
