Rabbit Anti-PUMA, alpha, beta (p53 Upregulated Modulator of Apoptosis)

PUMA gene encodes two BH3 domain-containing proteins termed PUMA-alpha and PUMA-beta, both bind Bcl-2, localize to the mitochondria, and induce Cytochrome c release and apoptosis in response to p53.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide (EQHLESPVPSAPGALAG) corresponding to aaa101-116 (C-terminal) of human PUMA isoform alpha and beta
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human PUMA alpha-beta

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
