Rabbit Anti-Ring Finger Protein 34 (RNF34, Caspase Regulator CARP1, Caspases 8 and 10-associated RING Finger Protein 1, CARP-1, FLJ21786, FYVE-RING Finger Protein Momo, hRFI, Human RING Finger Homologous to Inhibitor of Apoptosis Protein hRFI, RFI, RIFF, Ring Finger Protein RIFF) (HRP)

Ring Finger is an anti-apoptotic protein which has been shown to be a novel modulator of NF-kB activation, leading to the upregulation of Bcl2 and BclXL. It is also thought to possess E3 ubiquitin protein ligase activity and has been shown to target caspases 8 and 10 for proteasomal degradation. hRFI is expressed ubiquitously, and has been localized to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm. hRFI is also expressed in oesophageal, gastric and colorectal cancers, suggesting a possible association between hRFI and the development of digestive tract cancers.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
ELISA: 1:800-1:4000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:600. Detects a band at ~42kD Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-373 of human RFI. Species Sequence Homology: bovine, New World primate, mouse, canine and rat
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP).
Purity
Purified by affinity chromatography
Specificity
Recognizes human Ring Finger Protein 34.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
