Rabbit Anti-Secretogranin 3 (Secretogranin-3, SCG3, Secretogranin III, SgIII, FLJ90833, UNQ2502/PRO5990)

Secretogranin-3 (SCG3) belongs to the chromogranin/secretogranin family of neuroendocrine secretory proteins. The protein is expressed in brain, heart, kidney, liver and skeletal muscle but the function of SCG3 is largely unknown. Genetic variations in the SCG3 gene have been suggested to influence the risk of obesity through possible regulation of hypothalamic neuropeptide secretion.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (FFPE and Formalin-acetone fixed frozen): 0.5-1ug/ml. Heat mediated antigen retrieval is required. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa438-450, DFINKQADAYVEK from human Secretogranin-3, conjugated to BSA (Accession# Q8WXD2). Species Sequence Homology: mouse
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% BSA, 0.05% Thimerosal, 0.05% sodium azide. Reconstitute with 100ul sterile ddH20.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Secretogranin-3. Species Crossreactivity: rat

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
