Sheep Anti-Semaphorin 4G (SEMA4G, KIAA1619)
Semaphorin 4G (Sema4G) is a 92kD (predicted), class IV member of the semaphorin family of proteins. It is expressed by select cell types, including oligodendroglia and Purkinje neurons, and likely acts as a chemorepellent by binding to B-type plexins. Mature mouse Sema4G is a type I transmembrane protein that is 820 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains a 656 aa extracellular region (aa 18-673) that is characterized by one Sema domain (aa 35-503), a PSI region (aa 505‑556), and an Ig-like C2-type domain (aa 565-648). The 143 aa cytoplasmic region contains a poly-proline segment and a Ser phosphorylation site. Over aa 18‑673, mouse Sema4G shares 91% and 97% aa identity with human and rat Sema4G, respectively.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 5-15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
