Sheep Anti-SHISA4 (C1orf40, PRMP, TMEM58, Protein shisa-4 homolog)

Shisa-4 (Shisa is a form of Japanese sculpture that involves faces/heads; also known as C1orf40, PRMP and TMEM58) is a 26-32kD member of the Shisa-4 subfamily, Shisa family of proteins. It may be found associated with the ER of embryonic limb bud cells, and based on other Shisa proteins, perhaps antagonizes either Wnt or FGF signaling. Shisa-4 is also described as a plasma membrane protein on oligodendroglia that links the ECM to the actin cytoskeleton. Mature human Shisa-4 is a 170 (aa) type I transmembrane protein. It contains a 60aa extracellular domain (aa28-87) plus an 89aa cytoplasmic region that possesses a Pro-rich segment (aa131-195). Over (aa29-85), human Shisa-4 shares 96% aa identity with mouse Shisa-4.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant protein corresponding to Glu29-Thr85 of human SHISA4 extracellular domain, expressed in E. coli. Swiss/UniProt Accession: Q96DD7.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder from PBS, 5% trehalose. Reconstitute with 500ul sterile PBS.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes extracellular domain of human Shisa-4. Species Crossreactivity: mouse

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
