Goat Anti-SHP 2 (SHPTP-2, PTP2C, SH-PTP2, PTP1D, SH-PTP3, Syp, PTPN11)
protein tyrosine phosphatase-2, MGC14433, protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 11, protein-tyrosine phosphatase 2C, Noonan syndrome 1, SH-PTP3, SH-PTP2, PTP-1D, SHP-2, PTP2C, BPTP3, NS1, CFC, protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 11 (Noonan syndrome 1), SHP2, PTPN11

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family. PTPs are known to be signaling molecules that regulate a variety of cellular processes including cell growth, differentiation, mitotic cycle, and oncogenic transformation. This PTP contains two tandem Src homology-2 domains, which function as phospho-tyrosine binding domains and mediate the interaction of this PTP with its substrates. This PTP is widely expressed in most tissues and plays a regulatory role in various cell signaling events that are important for a diversity of cell functions, such as mitogenic activation, metabolic control, transcription regulation, and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are a cause of Noonan syndrome as well as acute myeloid leukemia.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.
Recommended Dilutions
Peptide ELISA Titer: 1:32,000 Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml ~70kD band observed in Human Skeletal Muscle lysates and in lysates of cell line HEK293 (calculated MW of 68.0kD according to NP_002825.3). In transfected HEK293 transiently expressing PTPN11 bands of approx. 70kD and 49kD are observed. These bands are not observed in the non-transfected HEK293. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-YENVGLMQQQKSFR, from the C Terminus of human SHP 2 (NP_002825.3).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by peptide affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human SHP2. Species sequence homology: mouse, rat, bovine.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
