Rabbit Anti-SMG1, NT (Serine/Threonine-protein Kinase SMG1, SMG-1, hSMG-1, Lambda/iota Protein Kinase C-interacting Protein, Lambda-interacting Protein, 61E3.4, ATX, KIAA0421, LIP)

This gene encodes a protein involved in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD) as part of the mRNA surveillance complex. The protein has kinase activity and is thought to function in NMD by phosphorylating the regulator of nonsense transcripts 1 protein. Alternative spliced transcript variants have been described, but their full-length natures have not been determined.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide selected from the N-terminal region of human SMG1 (KLH).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human SMG1.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
