Rabbit Anti-SLC1A5 (Neutral Amino Acid Transporter B(0), ATB(0), Baboon M7 Virus Receptor, RD114/Simian Type D Retrovirus Receptor, Sodium-dependent Neutral Amino Acid Transporter Type 2, Solute Carrier Family 1 Member 5, ASCT2, M7V1, RDR, RDRC)
Solute Carrier Family 1 Member 5 (Slc1a5/ASCT2) belongs to a family of sodium dependent amino acid transporters. Slc1a5 has a preference for transporting zwitter ions. Slc1a5 also functions as a cell surface receptor for endogenously inherited retroviruses of cats, baboons and humans as well as for horizontally transmitted type-D simian retroviruses. In addition, it has been associated with increased metabolism in malignant tumors. In prostate carcinoma ASCT2 positivity is correlated with more aggressive biological behavior.
