Rat Anti-T-complex Protein 1 epsilon (T-complex Protein 1 epsilon Subunit, TCP1 epsilon, TCP1-epsilon, TCP-1 epsilon, Chaperonin Containing TCP1 epsilon, Chaperonin-containing TCP-1 epsilon, CCT epsilon, CCT-epsilon, CCTE, Chaperonin Containing TCP1 Subunit 5, Chaperonin-containing TCP-1 Subunit 5, CCT5, Chaperonin Containing TCP1 Subunit 5 epsilon, Chaperonin-containing TCP-1 Subunit 5 epsilon, KIAA0098) (Biotin)
The intact CCT complex is composed of eight polypeptides in a double-ring structure. CCT is important within cells in aiding the folding of proteins including actin, tubulin and the VHL tumor suppressor protein.
Applications
Suitable for use in Gel Super Shift Assay, Immunoprecipitation, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: detects a band of ~60kD in lysates of heat shocked Hela cells. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.2. Labeled with Biotin.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography from tissue culture supernatant.
Specificity
Recognizes the epsilon polypeptide of the human CCT chaperonin molecule complex at ~60kD. Species Crossreactivity: mouse, rabbit, rat and bovine
