Goat Anti-TET2 (Methylcytosine Dioxygenase TET2, Protein Ayu17-449, Kiaa1546)

Catalyzes the conversion of methylcytosine (5mC) to 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC). Plays an important role in the regulation of myelopoiesis. The clear function of 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (hmC) is still unclear but it may influence chromatin structure and recruit specific factors or may constitute an intermediate component in cytosine demethylation.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:16,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to C-QPSLTSAQINFSQT, from tet2, at the internal region of the protein (NP_001035490.2).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes Tet2. Species sequence homology: Mouse and rat.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
