Rat Anti-Themis (Protein THEMIS, Grb2-associating Protein, Gasp, Protein Thylex, Thymocyte-expressed Molecule Involved in Selection)

Themis also called Gasp (Grb2-associating protein), is a 72kD, 641aa cytosolic phosphoprotein mainly expressed in late double-negative and double-positive thymocytes. It is involved in thymocyte positive and negative selection through regulation of TCR signaling. Within the region used as an immunogen, mouse Themis shares 87% and 96% aa sequence identity with human and rat Themis.

Applications
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug labels 10e6 Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Immunogen
Recombinant corresponding to aa122-237 from mouse Themis expressed in E.coli.
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in PBS, trehalose. Reconstitute with sterile PBS to 0.5mg/ml.
Purity
Purified by Protein A/G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes mouse Themis. Species sequence homology: Recombinant human Themis aa2-282 (100%).

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
