May participate in various redox reactions through the reversible oxidation of its active center dithiol to a disulfide and catalyze dithiol-disulfide exchange reactions.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:64,000 Western Blot: 0.01-0.03ug/ml, observed in human liver lysates on ~35kD bands Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 3-6ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
