Mouse Anti-Thyroxine (T4)
Thyroxine (T4) a thyroid hormone exerts a potent influence on the basal metabolic rate. Synthesized from the tyrosine residues of thyroglobin and is found in the serum of normal individuals. The L-form is twice as active physiologically as a racemic product, the D-form has very little activity.
Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications have not been tested.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Supplied as a liquid in PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by DEAE chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes T4: 100%, T3: <0.6%.
