Rabbit Anti-TRBP2 (Trans Activation Responsive RNA Binding Protein 2, Tar (HIV-1) RNA Binding Protein 2, TAR RNA-binding Protein 2, TARBP2, TRBP, LOQS, RISC-loading Complex Subunit TARBP2)
Trans-activation-responsive RNA-binding Protein
TRBP is an RNA associated nuclear protein. It contains 3 DRBM (double stranded RNA-binding) domains and plays an important role by binding to HIV-1 TAR RNA located in the long terminal repeat (LTR). TRBP acts synergistic with viral TAT protein in HIV-1 expression activation. It binds preferentially to TAR and other double-stranded RNAs with G+C-rich characteristics. It is important in regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter and is widely expressed in most of the tissues.
