Goat Anti-UNC5CL (UNC5C-like Protein, Protein Unc-5 Homolog C-like, ZU5 and Death Domain-containing Protein, ZUD)

UNC5CL is a membrane protein belonging to theUNC-5 family with a death domain and a ZU5 domain and is known to interact with p65/RELA and NFKB1. UNC5CL is known to interact with subunit p105 of NF-kappaB and transactivator p65 and is thus involved in inhibition of NF-kappaB activation and NF-kappaB-dependent transcription by inhibiting the binding of NF-kappaB to its target sequence (providing an alternative regulatory mechanism for NF-kappaB-mediated transcription). This regulatory protein sensitizes cells to apopotosis induced by TNF and TRAIL.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:8000 Western Blot: 0.3-1ug/ml, observed in human kidney and ovary lysates on ~55kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide corresponding to KHCAEQPSHARTY, from human UNC5CL, at the internal region of the protein (NP_775832.1).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH 7.3, 0.5% BSA.
Purity
Purified by immunoaffinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human UNC5CL.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
