Rabbit Anti-Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UNG)

The human UNG-gene encodes nuclear (UNG2) and mitochondrial (UNG1) forms of uracil-DNA glycosylase using differentially regulated promoters, PA and PB, and alternative splicing to produce two proteins with unique N-terminal sorting sequences. A major role of the UNG gene product(s) is to repair mutagenic U:G mispairs caused by cytosine deamination. UNG2 removes misincorporated dUMP residues.

Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Positive Control
HeLa cell lysate
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptides containing amino acids 281-298 of human UNG.
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.2% gelatin, 0.05% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
Specificity
Recognizes human Uracil DNA Glycosylase (UNG). |Species Crossreactivity: Mouse and rat. Predicted to react with chimpanzee, canine, zebrafish, chicken and Xenopus, based on homology.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
