Rabbit Anti-Uridine Monophosphate Kinase 2, CT (Cytidine monophosphokinase 2, Testis-specific protein, UCK 2, UK, UMPK, Uridine-cytidine kinase 2, Uridine monophosphokinase 2)

UCK2 catalyzes the phosphorylation of uridine monophosphate to uridine diphosphate. This is the first step in the production of the pyrimidine nucleoside triphosphates required for RNA and DNA synthesis. In addition, an allele of this gene may play a role in mediating nonhumoral immunity to Haemophilus influenzae type B.

Applications
Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
ELISA: 1:1,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide selected from the C-terminal region of human UCK2 (KLH).
Form
Supplied as a liquid in PBS, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purity
Purified by ammonium sulfate precipitation
Specificity
Recognizes human UCK2.

Intended for research use only. Not for use in human, therapeutic, or diagnostic applications.
