Rabbit Anti-XIAP (API3, Baculoviral IAP repeat-containing protein 4, BIRC4, hILP, HILP, IAP3, IAP-like protein, ILP1, Inhibitor of apoptosis protein 3, MIHA, Xiap, X-linked IAP, X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein) (MaxLight 650)
MaxLight™650 is a new Far-IR stable dye conjugate comparable to Alexa Fluor™647, DyLight™649, Cy5™ and offers better labeling efficiency, brighter imaging and increased immunodetection. Absorbance (655nm); Emission (676nm); Extinction Coefficient 250,000.
XIAP is an endogenous inhibitor of cell death, which functions by suppressing caspases 3, 7, and 9. The protein is also reported to play a a role in the activation of NF kappa B and the regulation of cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors (CDKIs). Regulators of XIAP activity include XAF-1 and Smac.
Applications
Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution
Western Blot: detects a band of ~57kD in human kidney lysates. Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher.
Recommended Secondary Reagents
Sheep anti rabbit IgG: HRP
