(1s,3s)-adamantan-1-yl(1-pentyl-1H-indol-3-yl)methanone
JWH 018 adamantyl analog is a mildly selective agonist of the peripheral cannabinoid receptor, where the naphthalene ring is substituted with an adamantyl group. Adamantyl substitutions provide structural rigidity and bulk. Though no biological activity has been reported for JWH 018 adamantyl analog, Δ8-THC analogs with adamantyl substituted for the carbon side chain demonstrate improved affinity and selectivity of central cannabinoid and peripheral cannabinoid receptor binding. This synthetic cannabinoid has been identified in a herbal product.
