Calcium Magnesium Phytate (Phytin)
Inositol hexaphosphate calcium-Mg salt; Phytic acid calcium-Mg salt; Phytin; rel-(1R,2r,3S,4R,5s,6S)-Cyclohexane-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexayl hexakis(dihydrogen phosphate), calcium magnesium salt
Phytate is a naturally occurring compound that is found in many plants. It has been used to develop a model system for studying how phosphorylation of the inositol ring affects the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Phytate also has insect-repelling properties and can be used as an alternative to chemical pesticides. Calcium-magnesium phytate is a dietary supplement that contains calcium and magnesium, which are important nutrients for bone health. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclin D2, a protein involved in cell proliferation.
