Lecithin hydrogenated is a preservative used in cosmetics. Used in eye creams, body lotions, facial cleansers, shampoos, moisturizing creams, lipsticks, BB creams, liposomes and other cosmetics; it is also a good O/W emulsifier. Solubility
Hydrogenated lecithin is easily soluble in water and ethanol when heated to 80°C, soluble in most fats, but insoluble in glycerin and silicone oil.
Storage and Stability
May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at 4°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
