Tetrahydroprotoberberine isoquinoline alkaloid found in Corydalis yanhusuo root, which is an herbal pain remedy. Tetrahydropalmatine is a potent muscle relaxant and has shown analgesic effects. Tetrahydropalmatine is known to help in the recovery of cocaine addiction, as it is an antagonist of dopamine (DA) D1 and D2 receptor.
