Deuterated Simvastatin, a competitive inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase. A deuterated synthetic analog of lovastatin. Simvastatin is a synthetic derivative of a fermentation product of Aspergillus terreus. A synthetic analog of Lovastatin. Antilipemic. Simvastatin, the drug, is sold under the trade name Zocor.
