Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the active chemical in cannabis and is one of the oldest hallucinogenic drugs known. The cannabinoids belong to a class of chemicals called terpenoids, meaning terpene like. These compounds occur as essential oils within many plants and some are involved in the formation of vitamins, steroids, pigments and odours.

Storage and Stability

May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
