Tissue powders are produced by saline wash of ruptured cells obtained from tissue and multiple precipitations in acetone, removing lipids. Suitable for use as a specific adsorbent to remove unwanted reactivities or as a source material. It is relatively stable, and is used in the preparation of some enzymes.

Soluble in distilled water or dilute buffer.
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O or buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
