EG-VEGF BioAssay™ ELISA Kit, Human

Sandwich ELISA quantitative detection kit for Human EG-VEGF in cell culture supernates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA).

EG-VEGF,Endocrine glandderived vascular endothelial growth factor, is a human protein encoded by by the PROKR1 gene. Its gene is mapped to chromosome 1. The 1.4-kb cDNA encodes a protein of 105 amino acids with a well defined signal sequence. The mature protein is predicted to have 86 amino acids. Northern blot analysis demonstrated expression in testis, ovary, adrenal gland, and placenta. EG-VEGF has played a vital role in inducing proliferation, migration, and fenestration in capillary endothelial cells derived from endocrine glands. The standards of this kit are recombinant human EG-VEGF (A20-F105), with molecular weight of 10.5kD.
