Used as a medium for cultivation of Mycobacterium sp. when supplemented with glycerol and OADC. Modification of Middlebrook 7H10 or 7H9 formulations.

Directions per Liter
Mix 19g of medium into 900ml of distilled/deionized (DDI) water and 5ml glycerol. Heat to boiling until dissolved completely. Autoclave for 10 minutes at 121ºC (15psi). Cool to 45-50°C and aseptically add 100ml of OADC enrichment.
Storage and Stability
Store powdered media at RT. Stable for 12 months after receipt. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept refrigerated protected from light, and used within a short period of time.
