Lapatinib is an ATP-competitive epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and HER2/neu (ErbB-2) dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor, with IC(50) values of 10.8 and 9.2nm respectively. It is an orally active drug for treatment of breast cancer and other solid tumors. A free base form of Lapatinib Ditosylate.

Storage and Stability
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile DMSO or ethanol. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
