PSMD5 also known as 26S proteasome non-ATPase regulatory subunit 5 isoform 1. The 26S proteasome is an enzymatic complex that degrades ubiquitinated proteins in eukaryotic cells. PSMD5 is one of a number of chaperones that are involved in the assembly of the proteasome. The chaperones dissociate before 26S proteasome formation is complete.

Storage and Stability
May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
