-20°CDNA Polymerase I Klenow Fragment, Exo-Minus, Recombinant
EC=2.7.7.7; E. coli|Supplied with Reaction Buffer
This is an N-terminal truncation of the E. coli DNA Polymerase I protein, at amino acid #323. This truncation results in the deletion of the 5' to 3' exonuclease domain, but leaves the polymerase function unaffected. The introduction of two additional mutations (D355A and E357A) results in the abolition of the 3' to 5' exonuclease activity.
Unit Definition
1u catalyzes the incorporation of 10nmoles of deoxynucleotides into polynucleotide fraction in 30 minutes at 37°C.
