-20°CLactate Dehydrogenase B, Recombinant (LDHB, LDH-B, L-Lactate dehydrogenase B chain)
A tetrameric enzyme that, along with the coenzyme NAD+, catalyzes the interconversion of lactate and pyruvate. In vertebrates, genes for three different subunits (LDH-A, LDH-B and LDH-C) exist. Recombinant LDH-B was produced using LDH-B DNA cloned from cDNA library of chicken heart.
Biological Activity
~258 U/mg protein
Storage and Stability
Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Source
Recombinant, E. coli
Form
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in potassium phosphate. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O to ≥100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Important Note
This product as supplied is intended for research use only, not for use in human, therapeutic or diagnostic applications without the expressed written authorization of United States Biological.
