Media for the propagation of M13 and filamentous bacteriophages in E. coli K12 strains, according to Miller (1).
Dissolve 31 grams n 900ml of ddH2O, stirring gently with heat with stirring until completely solubilized. Adjust pH as necessary. If required, add sodium bicarbonate. Dispense into appropriate containers, loosen caps and autoclave for 15 minutes at 121ºC (15psi).
Store powdered media at RT. Opened bottles should be capped tightly and kept in a dark, low humidity environment. Prepared media should be kept refrigerated and used within a short period of time.
