IL-26 was identified by its overexpression specifically in Herpes virus samimiri-transformed T cells. It is a member of the IL10 family of cytokines. IL-26 is a secreted protein and may function as a homodimer. This protein is thought to contribute to the transformed phenotype of T cells after infection by Herpes virus samimiri (1).

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot. Not suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.

Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
