ARC (apoptosis repressor with CARD), also known as nucleolar protein 3. Apoptosis is regulated by molecules containing death domains or caspase recruitment domains (CARD). ARC contains a CARD domain, interacts with caspase-2 and interacts with and inhibits the activity of caspase-8. ARC suppresses apoptosis induced by the cell death receptors Fas, TNFR-1 and DR3 and by the cell death adapters FADD and TRADD. It is highly expressed in heart and skeletal tissue and found in low levels in placenta, kidney, liver and pancreas.

ApplicationsSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended DilutionWestern Blot: 1:500 ~24kD in HeLa whole cell lysates.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and StabilityMay be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
